TV RSS and Democracy Player
Don’t have a Tivo? I know there are other alternatives than the one I’m about to show you however I found this quite easy to use and an overall great idea. It’s called tvRSS. Here’s the idea – all your tv shows in one place. Not only is it just in one place it’s easy to find the shows you want. Listed nicely in alphabetical order, with a great search feature and more. Now you may say well I can just do the same thing other ways. Well sure you could, but here’s where it gets really good. If you use a program called Democracy Player you can add the RSS feed for the show! So if someone uploads a new show that you have the feed for in Democracy Player it’ll update and you can download it. You can set the player to automatically download the show or make it so you do it manually. Just a quick warning – if you remove something through Democracy Player it also removes it from your hard drive so be careful. Important Note: I’m not sure of the legalities of this but if your Tivo can do the same thing I don’t see what’s wrong with it.
