Started with 4. Went to 9. Now at 16. Love it.

Great experience with Leopard. Spaces was the sleeper app for me. Started with 4. Went to 9. Now at 16. Stacks is a sorry excuse for the capacity to pull a folder, or a hard drive for that matter, to the dock and navigate through the sub-folders to find what you are looking for. Stacks goes one level deep... and there is no way to turn it off! How is this so productive? And then what makes them think that everyone wants or NEEDS for that mater, that ugly side bar in every single folder? There is no way to turn that off as one could in 10.4 by double clicking it away... so now folders take up half the screen real-estate. And cover-flow? Please! Again... just a pretty face... it goes one level deep and then you get ugly again. Why simply repeat everything from every appealing article about Leopard rather than doing a serious and in-depth coverage of the new OS? Give us something that not EVERY SINGLE OTHER columnist is doing!i have used Apple's since i was a kid. And i had pre-ordered Leopard as soon as i heard it was coming out. But it is hardly as functional an OS as the previous OS. Is it prettier? Sure is. But that hardly helps me get my work done any quicker.

It is amazing to me how Apple can put a glossy finish on something and detract from usability and get accolades for doing so in the process. Really like the widget maker in Safari, assigned a mouse click for spaces, the new alex voice and improver preview. It installed fine on my new iMac but my old PPC powerbook the installed failed. a second try with archive and install went smooth as silk.So far very happy with the new cat.

I like a lot of the little things, the dictionary has Wikipedia, (spacebar +command) spotlight, now type in equation 2+2 it’s also a calculator, the iCal icon displays the correct date without being opened.
