Add iPhone Apps To Your iPod Touch For Free!

Submitted by Jeff Weisbein on January 18, 2008 – 10:46 AM0 Comments

Well, this is a bit in the gray area, however, this information is freely available on the web already so I figured I would compile it into a video. So you want the iPhone Apps on your iPod Touch? Well, as long as your iPod Touch is jailbroken with either the 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 firmware you are in luck.

This does not require anything but your iPod and an a WiFi signal. Load installer, go the Sources page at the bottom and click Edit in the top right, then click Add in the top left and add the following source: http://applerepo.com – then click Ok. Now the sources will refresh. Once they have refreshed go to the Install page in Installer and you will (or should see) iPhone 1.1.1 Apps for iTouch and iPhone 1.1.2 Apps for iTouch. Pick the one that is for the firmware you are currently running.

Now, before you install anything make sure you install both prep applications, those being, the Mail prep and the Google Maps prep, because if you don’t they will not work properly. Once you’ve installed the preps you can install the iPhone Applications. By the way, you do not need to install all of the applications if you do not want them all. Install whichever ones you want.

Note: Use this information at your own risk, if you are not sure what you are doing then do not do it.

On a side note, I know a lot of people are complaining about the $20 upgrade for these apps on the iPod Touch, what do you think? Leave a comment!
