Recently purchased a Toshiba D-R560 DVD recorder - trying to set the clock, whether manual or automatic, when I shut down, the time always shows two minutes later than the clock by which I set it. I've even tried four minutes ahead, but when the recorder is shut down it reverts back to show two minutes off. Anyone have similar problems?
The clock I use as reference is an "atomic" clock.

Well, as a last resort - after I had posted, I went back and tried setting the clock on the recorder and surprises! - it set to the correct time.

Sounds like there was a "save changes" option like after setting it you had to go back and click on the system settings button or something just like when changing recording speed.
Until you to the change is a "temporary change" a "this time only"
This allows you to change the timestamp on a recording when you manually record it (as opposed to using the clock to start and stop the recording). Why you would want to do this , I do not know but my DVD recorder lets me do it.
