Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew of any free, free demo, or cheapest software for recovering photos off of a SanDisk SDHC card. All the photos were accidentally deleted. I found one program that was "free". I was able to preview all the photos on the disk, but I would have to pay $40 to save the photos. I tried searching for software but the only things I could find were similar products or links to forums. Figured if all I could do was find forums anyways, I would ask a forum that I knew and trusted. Searched here to see if the question was asked before, but I couldn't find anything. So anyways, anyone know any free, free demo, or cheaper than $40 software to recover deleted photos off a Sandisk SDHC card? Thanks!

Sorry about the late reply, haven't been online since downloading it, but Recuva worked great! Thank you very much!

EDIT: sorry I didn't see Recuva from Peaches link and worked, but will leave my post untouched.

Hi Aron, hope I'm not to late seeing your thread, free of course and have had fun for years testing and playing with PC Inspector Smart Recovery 4.5

From experience it will recover almost all, my mistake to send destination to desktop and had so many to delete icons, please name a folder.
Only a few came back as lower quality.
At times even a formatted card was not able to escape me haha

Ironic my aviator is a younger photo of my cat BuckWheat, went and died on me a couple years ago, I miss him to this day.
Had his cat door to come and go, had to show me his kills, but always on the vinyl floor before total consumption (eat).
So special of 10 years of age, never forgotten...

Most of the photo recovery software for Mac and Windows that are available online are not free, as there is very less you can get for free. Not only that, it is often found that freewares are less efficient in recovering all the photos that have been deleted or lost. It is therefore recommended that you go for a paid software for best results.

That may be true for a Mac but there is no problem of getting very good free effective software for PC's. Also, by checking Giveawayof the day for paid software offered for free, one can wait until something is offered you need and it's free within that specified time frame ... http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/

There is free software as good as any paid software. I use pretty much all free software and have no computer issues outside of those I create myself. It also depends on what you use your computer day to day.
