Web Hosting and Domain Name from same company?

Hello All,

I recently purchased my domain name from Webair then saw a couple youtube videos stressing to never buy your web hosting from the same company you bought the domain name from. Webair seem like a pretty solid company, is this still true with regards to them? Also, my buddy says he uses ChiHost and likes them but I'm not sold. My site is a basic WordPress and don't need anything super-fast but eventually would like the option to upgrade as my site improves. I guess I want to know if I can go with Webair or if its a bad idea since I bought my domain name from them and if anyone has any other web host then recommend with the option to upgrade to a solid host in the future.

P.S. Looking for a Web Host online is awful!! So confusing. :(
