This morning Google announced that it will be acquiring Motorola Mobility. An acquisition which CEO Larry Page hopes will “supercharge” Android. But perhaps, more importantly, Larry Page notes that, “Our acquisition of Motorola will increase competition by strengthening Google’s patent portfolio, which will enable us to better protect Android from anti-competitive threats.”
