As similar as Facebook and Twitter are in the sense that they’re both social networks that allow users to communicate between, interact with, and stalk follow one-another online, the fact of the matter is that the two sites are entirely different.  While Facebook is meant to serve as a mechanism for more “intimate” connections such [...]

Twitter has 100 million active monthly users and 400 million monthly visitors to its Web site, said CEO Dick Costolo, at what he called Twitter’s “state of the union” this past Thursday.  However, Costolo went on to say that 40 percent (or 40 million) of active users don’t create their own tweets, meaning of course, that [...]

In a rather odd and clearly scripted conversation on Twitter (screenshot below), it appears that both Twitter and Bing may be working on some kind of new partnership.  It could be further integration of Twitter within Bing or perhaps even other Microsoft services and products.  Whatever it is, we don’t know at this point.  Nonetheless, [...]

If you’re a long-time Facebook user I’m sure that you still remember the “good old days” when Facebook “applications” had a huge tendency to cause frustration right and left because of the horrid levels of spam that would get passed onto the end-users.  While I for one was a pretty big Facebook fan at the time, even [...]

It seems that users have been fed up with Facebook and Twitter for nearly as long as each respective service has been around, and if only in day-dreams I think it’s safe to say that just about everyone has wished for the “perfect” social network to come along at one point or another. After opening its doors as an invite-only service on June 28th, yesterday officially marked the one month milestone for Google Plus.

It’s amazing how quickly things in life can change.  Just a few short years ago social networking website MySpace was legendary and considered hip amongst the younger generation.  Really, I remember a time when you would meet a person in line at a grocery store, and instead of swapping mobile numbers or even email addresses [...]

Yesterday Google unveiled their new social suite known as Google+ (Google Plus). While currently available only by invite and not yet released to the general public, Google+ promises (yet again) to change how we communicate and integrate with other users. But this time, I think that Google has really hit the nail dead-center on the head.

While the once-popular social network MySpace has declined significantly in recent years with the uprising of more popular social media sites such as Twitter and sites like Facebook, the site has managed to hold on to one audience; the music industry.
